INTRODUCING | UNIVERSAL AUDIO EFFECTS PEDALS
A trio of pedals –– a Universal Audio first!
Universal Audio brings its signature aesthetic and uncompromising design to three new flagship effect pedals, Golden Reverberator, Starlight Echo Station, and Astra Modulation Machine, the brand's first. This expansion into effects signifies a new direction for the celebrated designer, growing its extensive catalog specifically designed to bring analog soul to the modern studio.
All three of Universal Audio's new effect pedals feature Stereo/Dual Mono operation, True Bypass circuitry with Silent Switching, optional Buffered Bypass, an Analog Dry-Through option, and a Preset Mode for user-stored settings.
Golden Reverberator
The Universal Audio Golden Reverberator, the first of three flagship pedals, puts authenticity first, setting a new standard for compact reverb units with three Legendary Reverb effects: Spring 65, Plate 140, and Hall 224.
Three years in development, Spring 65 features three of the most accurate vintage spring reverb tank emulations ever created.
Plate 140, based on UA's celebrated modeling, lets users choose between three selectable studio plates for massive, memorable sound.
With Room, Small Hall, and Large Hall algorithms, Hall 224 unleashes the sound of the seventies––the late-seventies to be exact––with 1978-style digital reverb complete with the timeless tails and magic modulation we love.
Starlight Echo Station
The Starlight Echo Station, Universal Audio's flagship delay, packs three Legendary effects of its own: Tape EP-III, Analog DMM, and Precision.
Tape EP-III emulates the Echoplex EP-3 right down to the tape age, splice, wow, and flutter. Users have the option to select from three unique machines (clean, warm, and worn) and set preamp coloration for additional vintage accuracy.
Touting three modulation modes, Analog DMM is perfect, pure Bucket-Brigade day, with every detail accounted for and optional preamp coloration to get it just right.
The aptly named Precision also boasts three modulation modes and tons of digital delay options from UAD's celebrated plug-in library.
Universal Audio rounds out the Starlight Echo Station's feature set with six subdivision settings and two distinct dual-delay modes for additional sonic texture.
Astra Modulation Machine
The Universal Audio Astra Modulation Machine is an awesomely alliterative multi-effect with three Legendary modulation modes: Chorus Brigade, Flanger / DBLR, and Trem 65.
Chorus Brigade is a spot-on emulation of the Bucket-Brigade-equipped CE-1 Chorus Ensemble.
Flanger / DBLR, another Bucket-Brigade emulation, takes after the MXR studio flanger, letting users dial up anything from a little lo-fi thickness to spaced-out cosmic chaos.
Trem 65 channels blackface-style opto tube tremolo ("Vibrato" on the amp's control plate) into a controllable digital model with all the warmth and nuance of the real thing.
The Astra Modulation Machine also features Knob, Preset, and Tap + Preset modes for additional control.
If you're not familiar with Universal Audio's digital take on classic effects, prepare yourself. Preorder your Golden Reverberator, Starlight Echo Station, our Astra Modulation Machine to experience the future of hardware. Analog just got a whole new soul.
