Vintage Vibes: 1963 Gibson Everly Brothers Acoustic
A Sweet Treat! This Rare 1963 Everly Brothers Acoustic Still Sings.
Nathaniel says “Bye Bye Love” to this rare 1963 Natural Gibson Everly Brothers acoustic, but not before having a little fun. Available in three finishes (Black, Sunburst, and Natural, with Natural being by far the rarest), the Gibson Everly Brothers is one of the most sought-after signature acoustics the brand has ever produced, and it’s unclear how many Naturals were made or how many remain to this day. This particular guitar has never been refinished, but rather was over-sprayed, we suspect, after removing the massive dual pickguards. But it’s also possible that this may have been a special order, as even under a blacklight there is no trace of the pickguards to be found. One thing we do know for sure: Nathaniel has the best job in the world.

Serial Number: 1048X2
Tech Notes: -The guitar plays well with low action. The frets are wide with medium height and light play wear. -There are no traces of the large Everly Brothers style pickguards on this top, and the whole guitar black lights consistent and old. Which means that this was either a special order, or the pickguards were removed and the top over-sprayed a very long time ago. -The serial number dates to 1963. The second to last digit of the serial number has been obscured both on the back of the headstock and the sticker inside the sound hole.
