Begun in 2014, Nashville-based manufacturer Stringjoy has been making custom gauge, balanced tension string sets in the U.S., using a process that optimizes string performance, manufacturing speed, and labor efficiency to offer guitar and bass players the best possible strings at the lowest possible cost. The tapers on our bass strings are halfwound to better enable the string to wind around the tuning peg and hold tune once it’s there. The process is very similar to how “silked” end strings are made, but we leave off the silk.
Unless otherwise noted, our bass strings have a 38″ winding length, ideal for both 34″ and 35″ scale basses.
Gauges: .050 – .065 – .085 – .105
