If you didn’t find the perfect EarthQuaker Devices pedal to match your style in either of the last two rounds of CME Exclusive one-of-a-kind pedals, then you’re in luck! Once again, EarthQuaker Devices has bequeathed a big batch of unique stompboxes—each guaranteed to make your pedalboard unlike any other—with the third-annual run of CME Exclusive one-of-a-kind editions, featuring some of our favorite EQD pedals!
Known for pushing the envelope with forward-thinking and unique products, EQD stays at the top of its game by keeping pedal manufacturing fun—not only for themselves but for the musicians who choose EQD pedals. Of course, EQD has long been known to make exclusive runs for dealers when a certain store’s customer base (like CME’s), shows a preference for a specific colorway. But, in addition, EQD designers are known to keep tinkering with their toys’ exteriors, combining wildly different colorways with an array of knobs and external hardware components to make individually personalized versions of some of their favorite pedals after they hit the market. So, they spend lots of time playing around, creating alternate designs for their favorite toys—which amounts to an annual stockpile of one-of-a-kind pedals! Every year at their annual EarthQuaker Day celebration they showcase these creations, and when it’s over, they send them to CME!

For the third consecutive year, as part of an ongoing exclusive partnership with EQD begun in 2022, then repeated in 2023, CME will once again offer our customers unique, one-of-a-kind editions of some of the most popular EarthQuaker Devices pedals—each of which will make a truly one-of-a-kind addition to any pedalboard! Each pedal is only available at Chicago Music Exchange and will be listed individually. But, remember—when it’s gone, it’s gone. So if you find your perfect pedal while browsing this year’s batch, act fast! There will never be another one like it from EQD!
CME and EQD: A Peerless Partnership
Here at CME, we love everything about guitar pedals. From the build quality of the circuits, themselves, to the chassis, to the controller configurations—including knobs, buttons, and switches—not to mention the color schemes and graphic designs that add to the pedals’ overall aesthetic. All of these factors are what make any musician’s pedalboard both a visual, as well as sonic, work of art.
And that’s why CME loves pedals made by EarthQuaker Devices! The Akron, Ohio–based pedal manufacturer loves effects pedals so much that they make them one at a time, by hand, the hard way. Designed to be simple and user-friendly, EQD pedals supply loads of practical, useable, and musical sounds, making them a launchpad for sonic exploration and aural innovation.

But, it’s not just the phenomenal sounds that make these pedals stand out. Often, it’s the eye-catching graphic designs, color schemes, and controller configurations that make EQD pedals a step above your typical stompbox. So, when our dear friends at EarthQuaker Devices approached us with a chance to get hundreds of one-of-a-kind pedals all at once, we jumped at it!
