Introducing | Eastman D’Ambrosio Series
Eastman’s First Made-In-California Guitar Line Designed by Master Luthier Otto D’Ambrosio is Now Available at Chicago Music Exchange!
Among all the new releases announced at The NAMM Show 2024 in Anaheim, Eastman’s new line of D’Ambrosio Series electric guitars became a must-see for guitar lovers—and you can bet they caught our eye!
Now, Chicago Music Exchange is proud to be one of the first dealers where you can find Eastman’s new U.S.-made electric guitar line, handcrafted in California by master luthier Otto D’Ambrosio himself!
Otto D’Ambrosio’s Patented FullerTone Neck
Fusing old-world craftsmanship and modular versatility D’Ambrosio Series guitars feature one of the most elegant innovations to electric guitar design that we here at CME have ever seen: the FullerTone Neck—a new, patented long-tenon, two-bolt, neck-to-body connection, which may well redefine the industry standard for stability, sustain, and overall tone in an electric guitar!
Each D’Ambrosio Series instrument body sports a graceful geometry that cradles the FullerTone Neck. Secured by just two machine-threaded screws the Otto D’Ambrosio’s FullerTone neck creates up to 72% more neck-to-body contact than a traditional bolt-on neck, resulting in unhindered resonance transfer that rivals the sustain and stability of a set-neck guitar.
Affirming Eastman’s commitment to environmental conservation, every FullerTone Neck on Eastman’s D’Ambrosio Series instrument is crafted from North American Hard Rock Maple, then topped with responsibly secured Madagascar rosewood.
Risen From The Ashes of Phoenix Pine (Or Dredged Up From Southern Swamplands)
With worn curves echoing the California coastline and a player-centric design, D’Ambrosio Series guitars boast custom-shop build quality, plus a look that’s all their own. Available in SC (single-cut), DC (double-cut), and Offset body-shape options, Eastman’s D’Ambrosio Series instrument bodies are fashioned from gorgeous tonewoods sourced from two iconic North American locales.
Built from an exceptionally rare, premium lightweight Swamp Ash sourced from wetlands in the Southern United States, D’Ambrosio SC ’54, DC ’54, DC ’74, and Offset ’64 models boast a sweet resonance that harkens back to some of the most prized electric guitars on the vintage market.
D’Ambrosio SC ’52, DC ’52 & DC ’62 models—as well as Offset ’62 & Offset ’64 models—are fashioned from reclaimed, wildfire-burned Phoenix Pine that has been salvaged sustainably in the process of regenerating the Oregon wilds. Granted a second life with a controlled heat treatment, the resulting Sandblasted Roasted Phoenix Pine guitar bodies offer tonal clarity and complexity with “smoky” overtones.
Every D’Ambrosio electric guitar sports a nitrocellulose lacquer finish (applied with the artistry of Martin Bravo and his son). Finally, each is outfitted with a custom set of boutique pickups hand-wound by Jason Lollar, giving each D’Ambrosio Series guitar model its distinctive electric “voice.”
