A scarf joint has been cut, material added, and the joint epoxied together with the finish on the surrounding area touched up. |
Electronics: | Two P-90 pickups, 3-way toggle pickup selector switch, volume and tone controls per pickup -- Original excluding a replaced output jack. The lead wire to the jack has been spliced. There is a visible date code on the neck tone pot from 1965. |

Cosmetic Condition: | This Firebird I shows significant play wear and aging. The finish is chipped and checked throughout. There are a couple gouges on the sides of the back of the body that have been filled and touched up. |

Tech Notes: | Currently, set up with 10-gauge strings and low action. The truss rod functions correctly, but the neck does sight with a very slight twist - this is not affecting playability. The frets are wide with moderate to low height showing minimal play wear as they have been recently dressed. -- The serial number dates from 1965 or 1968. The electronics date from 1965. |
