Body Details: Maple back & sides with a spruce top -- There is a small output jack sized hole on the side of the treble-side lower bout from a previous pickup installation. -- There are various repaired cracks throughout the top of the body. All have been repaired professionally and are structurally sound.

Case Details: Original Hard Shell Case
Cosmetic Condition: This Gibson J-200 shows nice aging and play wear. Heavy finish checking exists throughout. There are various marks on the back of the neck where the finish has worn down to the maple. There is a nice chip in the binding on the front edge of the headstock between the D & A string tuning pegs. Many other nice wear marks, nick, chips, and dings exist throughout this beautifully aged Gibson J-200.

Tech Notes: Currently, set up with 12-gauge phosphor bronze strings, low action, and optimal neck relief. The frets show only light play wear. -- The Factory Order Code Letter "R" preceding the batch number on the neck block dates this J-200 from 1960.
