At Seymour Duncan, we have a 40 year archive of data on pickup design, detailing every nuance, down to the smallest detail. This knowledge is what gives our legendary Antiquity pickups their authentic tone.
We’ve heard from many guitar builders and players alike, who wanted our Antiquity pickups with a new, pristine look, rather than an aged, vintage look.
So we created the Retrospec’d series. All the tone of yesteryear, in a brand new look.
ANTIQUITY II SURFER STRAT:
The Antiquity II Surf provides that smooth and chimey bounciness that only a Stratocaster can produce. Our specially calibrated alnico 5 rod magnets and custom scatter wound coil give the treble attack a subtle sweetness without losing any of the harmonic sparkle. Positions 2 & 4 deliver the perfect in-between quack for everything from Chicago blues to bright, jangly pop rock. Great for keeping your vintage Fender instrument looking and sounding authentic, or for giving that cool throwback vibe to a newer guitar. Hand built in our Custom Shop, each pickup is aged to look and sound like a 1960s original. We use vintage correct blueyellow cloth pushback leadwire, light gray bottom flatwork, and custom aged covers for just the right look. They are all lacquered and wax potted.Pair with our Surf RWRP middle pickup and Custom Bridge model for the ultimate 60s Strat.
