Condition: Item is subject to minor wear from use.

Fender changed history with the release of the Precision Bass in 1951, and they advance that legacy with the American Original ‘50s model. Fender updated the fret-size and fingerboard radius for a smoother, modern playability, but otherwise this model is completely vintage-correct down to the thick “C” neck shape, replica hardware and Pure Vintage ’58 P Bass pickups.

About Fender American Original Series:

Founded by Leo Fender in 1938 as Fender’s Radio Service, what is now the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation began making electric guitars and amplifiers in 1945. The rest, as they say, is history. Creator of the world’s first mass-produced, and by far most popular, solid-bodied electric, Fender is now the world’s leading guitar manufacturer.

Picking up where the celebrated American Vintage Series left off, the Fender American Original Series features re-imagined, “best-of-the-decade” versions of some of the most legendary model years of the Stratocaster, Telecaster, Jaguar, Jazzmaster, and Jazz and Precision basses, updated for modern playability.
