The Fender American Performer Mustang is short in scale, but not short on sound. This 24”-scale animal is loaded with dual Yosemite single-coil pickups featuring flat-staggered pole pieces and Greasebucket circuitry for rich, dynamic tone with total control. The solid maple neck is carved to a “Modern C” profile and features a 22-fret, 9.5-radius rosewood fingerboard that comfortably suits virtually any playing style, and the grooved saddles of the vintage-inspired Mustang bridge are there for you when you need to give it the spurs and giddy up. Founded by Leo Fender in 1938 as Fender’s Radio Service, what is now the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation began making electric guitars and amplifiers in 1945.
