Body Details: Maple top, back, and sides. "9858 28" factory order number visible inside the treble F-hole. The serial number on the inside of the bass F-hole has been blacked out.

Neck Details: One piece mahogany set neck with bound Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. -Another set of tuners was installed at some point, there are some extra holes in the headstock as a result.
Electronics: Original electronics. One P90 pickup, master volume and tone controls.

Hardware: -Tailpiece may have been replaced. -Kluson tuners are not original. Another set of tuners was installed at some point, there are some extra holes in the headstock as a result.
Modifications/Repairs: -The serial number on the inside of the bass F-hole has been blacked out. -"Floyd Howard" and a series of 10 numbers (likely an old social security number) has been inscribed on the tailpiece, heel cap, pickguard, both sides of the neck overstand, fingerboard, inlays, truss rod cover, and the back of the headstock. -Tailpiece may have been replaced. -Kluson tuners are not original. Another set of tuners was installed at some point, there are some extra holes in the headstock as a result.
Case Details: Original hardshell case is structurally secure with one broken latch and cosmetic wear.
Cosmetic Condition: This guitar is in good shape for its age. -"Floyd Howard" and a series of 10 numbers (likely an old social security number) has been inscribed numerous places on the neck and hardware, please review the modifications field carefully. -The body has dents, scratches, finish chips, some blemishes, and some case rash. -Finish checking throughout the body and headstock. -The neck has scuffs, dents, scratches, and finish chips. There is some missing binding towards the end of the neck on the bass side.

Tech Notes: This guitar plays well with medium/low action and light neck relief. The truss rod is adjustable. The frets are narrow with very little play wear. While the serial number has been blacked out, the factory order number suggests that this guitar was produced in 1953.
