Description

Finish Details: The finish is original aside from various touchups. There are four filled and touched up holes on the top from a Bigsby vibrato that has since been removed. There are additional holes filled and touched up holes on the side of the lower bout on either side of the strap button. These are from a trapeze tailpiece that was installed at some point. There is an additional filled and touched up hole on the back of the neck heel from a strap button that was installed. There are several areas of buckle rash finish touch ups on the back of the body, one in the middle of the back and the other on the side close to the switch cavity. There is also a small finish touchup on the side of the bass side shoulder next to the strap button.

Electronics: Original Gibson PAF pickups and original wiring. The potentiometers date to 1959. The guitar has bumblebee tone capacitors. A previous owner has drawn several black stars inside the control cavity with a pen or marker (see pics).
Pickup Measurements: neck 7.7k ohms bridge 7.4k ohms
Hardware: The hardware is all original aside from the tuners. The tuners are repro Kluson Gibson Deluxe single rings. They are stamped "Japan" on the underside.

Modifications/Repairs: The guitar has been refretted. The nut was shimmed up slightly to accommodate taller frets. The neck The guitar has various filled holes and finish touchups (see finish section). A previous owner has drawn several black stars inside the control cavity with a pen or marker (see pics).
Case Details: Hard shell case
Cosmetic Condition: This vintage guitar is in very good condition for its age. The finish is glossy with light wear throughout. The back of the body has moderate buckle rash. The metal hardware has a patina consistent with the age of the instrument.

Tech Notes: The guitar plays well with low action. The frets are wide and tall with minimal play wear. -The serial number dates to 1959.
