It’s not easy to improve on the Telecaster, and yet Fender seems to do it time and time again. This Fender American Performer Telecaster is equipped with dual Yosemite single-coil pickups, one at the bridge with wax potting and one at the neck with shellac coating, both featuring flat-staggered pole pieces and Greasebucket circuitry for rich, dynamic tone with hot output and minimal feedback. The solid maple neck is carved to a “Modern C” profile and the 9.5-radius maple fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets offers excellent playability and easy bending whether you’re chicken pickin’ or just strumming one out.
