Dragging the Telecaster down into the darkest depths of tone, Jim Root partnered with Fender to create the Jim Root Telecaster, his signature Artist model Tele. Equipped with active EMG 60 and 81 humbucking pickups on the neck and bridge respectively, as well as three-way switching and a minimal control set, this Tele is nothing but heavy. Mahogany body, maple neck with 12"-radius ebony or maple fingerboard, 22 medium jumbo frets, hard-tail through-body bridge–submit or get out of the way. It's that simple.
