Body Material: Alder
Body Details: Solid alder body. The neck pickup route has been slightly modified for a larger footprint J-bass pickup, and there are extra screws under the bridge from a previously installed bridge. There is also a sheared-off screw at the bottom strap button; a new strap button was added next to it.

Neck Details: Bolt-on maple neck with bound maple fingerboard, block inlays, and heel-adjust truss rod. The neck stamp has faded, but there is an original inspection mark on the bottom of the heel.
Electronics: Original grey bobbin single coil pickups with 1974 date marks, and original wiring harness with neck and bridge volume controls and master tone control. The pot codes date to 1973/74. Some solder joints have been re-done.
Pickup Measurements: 8.6k (neck), 8.4k (bridge)
Hardware: The strap buttons have been replaced.

Modifications/Repairs: -A different bridge was previously installed, leaving screw holes under the bridge -Different pickups were previously installed, and the neck pickup route was slightly modified -The strap buttons have been replaced
Case Details: Original Hardshell Case. The top and bottom latches have broken, and replacement hasps have been installed next to them.
Cosmetic Condition: The bass has plenty of nice aging present, with finish checking and extensive chipping on the body, and mild buckle rash on the back. The back of the neck is glossy with only a couple small dings, and the headstock face shows checking and yellowing.

Tech Notes: The bass plays well with low action and optimal neck relief. The frets are low with moderate play wear. The electronics codes and serial number date the bass to 1974.
