Fender makes minimal modernizations to the P Bass in its Player Series Precision Bass, and that’s a good thing. Featuring an alder body with gloss finish, Player Series split single-coil pickup, “Modern C”-shape neck with 9.5”-radius fingerboard and a standard, streamlined control set, this is a purist’s take on the legendary instrument. Because if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
