Body Details: | Mahogany back and sides with spruce top. There are a number of splice repairs in the body sides, with various mahogany patches under the clear topcoat. The back of the body has repaired cracks toward the heel, as well as two filled holes on either end of the center seam. These are likely registration holes from the back being removed and reglued. The bridge plate has been replaced and a number of braces have been reglued, and the top shows wear from a previous bridge reglue and from the bridge plate removal. |

The original "C.F. Martin & Co." imprint on the back of the headstock is clear and intact. The nut has been replaced, and there are numerous reglued chips in the ebony fretboard from the refret. |

Cosmetic Condition: | This vintage Martin 000-18 shows the signs of its nearly 100 year history, with notable finish wear around the bridge and numerous repairs on the back and sides. The top has many scratches and dings, and a worn area around the bridge likely from a previous repair. The sides of the body have many mahogany patches, particularly around the treble bout, and the back of the body has repaired cracks toward the heel. These repairs are all underneath the clear topcoat. The glossy neck is mostly smooth, with a handful of scratches on the treble side of the first few frets. There are a number of reglued chips in the ebony fretboard as well. |
