Description
Designed by former Fender Plant Manager Forrest White with the help of Leo Fender, himself—alongside Tom Walker and Sterling Ball—the Music Man StingRay bass was first introduced in 1976 and has been the flagship of the Ernie Ball Music Man line of instruments ever since.
StingRay Special Series
Featuring the distinctive headstock, iconic oval pickguard, and active humbucking pickups that let bassists boost their preferred frequency range, the StingRay Special retains the same signature features that it had some forty years ago in an array of eye-catching new finishes. Refined to provide a new level of playing comfort, Stingray Special models sport a rounded forearm contour, a sculpted neck joint with access to all 22 stainless steel frets, revoiced 3-band preamp, and lightweight aluminum hardware providing a lighter, more balanced instrument.
Highlights
- Dual MM humbucking pickups
