Finish Details: Original
Body Material: Fiberglass
Body Details: Hollow fiberglass body
Neck Material: Maple
Fingerboard Material: Brazilian Rosewood
Neck Profile: "C" profile
Neck Thickness (IN): .85" (1st fret), .96" (12th fret)
Fingerboard Radius: 12.00"
Nut Width: 1-5/8"
Scale Length: 24 3/4"
Neck Details: Bolt-on maple neck with unbound Brazilian rosewood fretboard, dot inlays, zero fret, and non-adjustable neck reinforcement. The last fret appears to have been pulled and re-installed, with some chipping of the fretboard.
Electronics: Original pickups, with on/off toggle switches for each pickup. The wiring harness includes a momentary "tremolo" switch (connected internally to a Fender amplifier pilot lightbulb), volume controls for both pickups, neck tone control, and bridge bass cut control. A 9 volt battery clip has been soldered into the circuit to accommodate the higher voltage replacement bulb. The ground wire has also been replaced, and several solder joints have been touched up. The pot codes are obscured by surface corrosion.
Pickup Measurements: 6.8k (neck), 6.8k (bridge)
Hardware: Original
Weight: 6lbs 14oz
Modifications/Repairs: -The bulb has been replaced, and a 9 volt battery clip installed -The string ground wire has been replaced -Some solder joints have been repaired
Case Details: Hardshell case.
Cosmetic Condition: The guitar shows nice aging, with light scratches, dings, and other blemishes from use on the glossy fiberglass body. The back of the neck has yellowed and has a few small dents, and the hardware has tarnished. There are a few small chips on the fretboard at the last fret.
Serial Number: 154946
Tech Notes: The guitar plays well with medium-low action and light neck relief, and is currently set up with 10s. Because of the non-adjustable neck reinforcement, heavier strings would not be recommended. The frets are narrow and low, with light wear and small divots present up to the fifth fret. The serial number and model date the guitar to 1965.
